Meet the spray paint powerhouse and chief copywriter behind Written + Illustrated.

At the time Steve was the owner of acclaimed Melbourne tattoo studio Korpus, and Clare was working as a journalist for a daily newspaper. Their chosen industries couldn’t have been more different, but creatively Steve and Clare share two hemispheres of the same brain, so an idea was hatched.

Written + Illustrated was born six months after their son!

Set up to promote Steve’s illustration talent and Clare’s wordsmithery, Written + Illustrated has continued to grow, and now provides murals and freelance creative services for clients as varied as Bunnings, Sunbeam and Dulux, to Brogan’s Way Gin Distillery, Connoisseur Ice Cream, and Lost Lake Wines.
