This historic mural was a ‘full circle’ moment for Steve, who was first commissioned to paint this wall some two decades earlier. The resulting mural became something of a local landmark in suburban Mirrabooka, but over the years it had begun to fade and the council felt it was time for a refresh. They contacted Steve and asked him to re-imagine the iconic piece, adding portraits of local inhabitants, including respected Noongar elder, Mrs Doolann Leisha-Eatts, who stands pride of place at the centre. It was an absolute honour to work on this project and we look forward to revisiting it once more in another twenty years time!
