When Bangkok Jam decided to open a restaurant in Melbourne, they knew the space they chose needed to be something special. As luck would have it, they happened upon an incredibly historically-significant building right in the heart of Melbourne’s Chinatown. Over several months they painstakingly set about restoring the beautiful old building to its former glory, commissioning us to create a mural to span all three storeys of the venue. They asked us to fit our design around some of their existing themes, and together we came up with this stunning piece. This mural is the first thing diners see when they enter the venue, setting the tone for an evening filled with great food and even better cocktails. This is a great spot to start a night out in Melbourne – tell them we said howdy!
